Les Cammazes
On the flank of the Montagne Noire and close to the historic Canal du Midi lies the village of Les Cammazes, 25 km from the medieval town of Carcassonne. The Montagne Noire owes its name to the dark woods to the north and to a meteorological phenomenon: the mountains form the climatic divide between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean climates. Thanks to the transition between the two types of climate there is very abundant flora and fauna. In les Cammazes Pierce & Elliott has built 22 villas with a shared swimming pool and tennis court. There are still various large plots available, with or without swimming pool. The villas are suitable for renting out or possibly for permanent habitation.
